first_imgToday, Radiohead will make their return to Glastonbury Festival with a headlining set at the Pyramid Stage. The highly-awaited performance marks the return globally-renowned British band’s return to the UK’s most famous festival, a performance which was announced in October with a photo of the band’s bear logo emblazoned on the grass on the empty festival grounds:Radiohead have become somewhat synonymous with Glastonbury over the years. They have headlined the event twice before (in 1997 and 2003), with both sets considered to be all-time classic Glastonbury performances. They also performed a secret set at the festival’s Park Stage in 2011 when road testing the material from their album The King Of Limbs. Thom Yorke has even been known to pop up at the festival’s many smaller venues and cafes to perform DJ sets as well. Fisher Hall evacuated due to electrical fire in student room

first_imgUpdated Thursday at 9:10 p.m.A “small electrical fire” occurred in a Fisher Hall student room Thursday at about 5:30 a.m. and residents were evacuated to South Dining Hall, according to an email sent to campus media. The incident occurred when a fan caught fire.Two rooms were damaged by smoke and water, according to the email, and arrangements will be made for students who cannot occupy their rooms by Tuesday evening as a result of the damage.At the time of the fire, a student was examined for smoke inhalation. In response to follow-up questions, University spokesman Dennis Brown said additional students were assessed after the incident.“Three other students were evaluated for smoke inhalation since this morning’s first report,” Brown said in an email. “Out of an abundance of caution, two were transported by car to Memorial Hospital for further testing.
